I have come up with a number of ROTEX projects that I would like to see accomplished.  As you will see from the list below, some are related to this home page and some are other ROTEX related projects.  I would be happy to add your suggestions to this list, so email me if you think of other worthwhile projects!

• Chat moderator(s) - I would love to see the ROTEX chat become more active.  Unfortunately, I don't have the time to do this myself.  If you like to chat and would be willing to commit a few hours a month to being a chat moderator, please let me know.  Basically, this will involve (1) selecting a chat medium (ICQ, my java chat or whatever you want); (2) picking a regular day and time for the chat; (3) getting the word out; and (4) being there to help things going on a regular basis.  If you are interested, drop me a note.
  
  
• "ROTEX 2001" world ROTEX conference - I have always thought that it would be really incredible to get together with hundreds of other ROTEXers for a weekend of fun, programs, touring etc.  I think this would have to be in a major city, perhaps Philadelphia or Washington, D.C.  Obviously, it would be a ton of work to put something like this together.  If you have interest (and time!) to help with a project like this, let me hear from you!  There would be a need for people to organize facilities, programs, tours, finances etc.  Also, if you (or a company or organization you are involved with) would be willing to contribute financially to an exchange student conference like this, drop me an email.  And I'd love to hear your comments on this idea.  Also, since a number of people have expressed interest in this project, I have created an unmoderated email discussion list for people interested in helping with this project.  If interested, you may join by entering your email address at http://rotex2001.listbot.com
  

• Help spread the word about this page - Please help get the word out about this page by linking to it on your home page (or your organization's home page) and telling your friends, fellow ROTEXers, and Rotarians who are involved in the exchange program about this page.  I'm also looking for an official site publicist who has time to help locate and contact youth exchange sites and inform them about the new site.
  
  
• FAQ author(s) - I would love to have some help writing some ROTEX Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) pages.  I would like (1) to create one or more FAQs based on questions asked on the ROTEX message board; (2) to create a FAQ with common questions and answers about this home page, ROTEX and ROTEX sites.  I would love to hear from you if you are interested.  There is a discussion e-mail list for those who are willing to help on this project at http://rotexfaqs.listbot.com
  

• ROTEX club manual - I would love to see a manual created with detailed suggestions for creating and sustaining a ROTEX club.  I have had many inquiries over the years from people who would like to start ROTEX clubs but don't know where to begin, what to expect, what projects to undertake, how to find members etc.  If you have experience as a member (or officer) of a ROTEX club and would be willing to help write a ROTEX club manual, please let me know and be sure to join the discussion list for this project at http://rotexfaqs.listbot.com.
